Boys and Boots

July 16, 2010

Boys will always be my primary weakness, but at least I’ll look cute walking down the road to heartbreak as a result of my second love. If my heart didn’t feel so fragile this morning, then maybe I wouldn’t be longing for these beauties.

The terrible thing is that I seem to fall in love with the more expensive varieties—boots, not necessarily boys. So, no one is going to buy me these, and I won’t give in and buy them myself. But in my fantasy world, someone from weakness category number one loves me so much that they grant crazy wishes such as this for no reason.

The rather sad part is that I NEVER get rid of shoes, not until they fall apart and are completely useless for any purpose. I’ve got at least one pair of boots in my closet, circa 2003, that are similar to the boots I’m discussing here. Not surprisingly, I can’t get rid of boys either, except I’m the one who falls apart in those scenarios. In that sense, boots are usually much safer.

I more have a problem of getting men who are completely useless for any purpose. (wait, did I type that, shame on me!) No, seriously, I’ve loved, and cherished.

And I have one that I keep and refuse to throw away.

Of course, they’re sold out of my size now. I guess the powers that be agree that it was an unnecessarily frivolous purchase. 🙂
