How many more times can we go over this?
When will people, other than those working in the sex industry, get pissed off enough about the deaths of prostitutes to join our tired voices?
Death of Vancouver Sex Worker attributed to serial killer, again.
Also, I find the need to identify the murdered women in this case as “drug-addicted” more than questionable. Is that information really relevant? What purpose does it serve?
PS. The title of this post comes from a poem written by Norma Jean Almodovar. You can view the poem on this poster available at the homepage for the International Sex Worker Foundation for Art, Culture and Education.

Well, I hope Rush Limbaugh’s obit describes him as drug-addicted.
Drug addiction excuses anyone from what they do to you. Just like a rape victim’s non-virginal body excuses her rapist from anything he did. So yes, these things are very important for police to know and reporters to clarify in their articles. That way we all know how to react.
